Entry requirement:
Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in either:
1. Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)
2. National Examination Commission (NECO)
3. General Certificate of Education (GCE)
Candidates wishing to undergo this course must possess credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, at not more than two (2) sittings.

A dental surgery technician graduate can proceed to do a conversion HND (Higher national diploma) programme in dental nursing, in designated colleges of health technology.
A Post-HND admission, via direct entry to the university to study Nursing or Public Health also occurs.
