Overview
You will gain the relevant skills to provide nursing and rehabilitation assistance to patients under the supervision of licensed health care professionals such as physicians and nurses.

Tasks will vary depending on the type of facility you work in, albeit you might:
• Keep work areas and patients’ rooms clean and tidy – change bed linen, prepare and serve meals
- Aid patients with daily living activities
- Perform limited dressing changes
- Set up catheter care
- Clean and prepare medical equipment and instruments
- Help patients' rehabilitation in areas such as social skills and walking

COURSE PROFILE
Applicants can be admitted with any of the qualifications stated in section A or B below:
A. Two (2) ‘O’ level credits and three (3) passes in either:
1. Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)
2. National Examination Commission (NECO)
3. General Certificate of Education (GCE)
Candidates wishing to undergo this course must possess credits in English and Biology/Health science, and passes in any other (3) three subjects, be it in science, commercial or humanities/art, at not more than two (2) sittings.
B. Auxiliary nurse certificate. A WAEC/GCE or NECO in art, science or commercial subjects required to prove literacy and numeracy skills.
