COURSE OVERVIEW
You will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies required to become a caregiver and confidently provide support to the aged with challenges due to illness, disability, or aging, under the supervision of a licensed physician and/or registered nurse.
COURSE FOCUS
The Aged Care aide program is a 25-hour/week course focused on the following thematic areas:
- Understanding the aging process
- Assistance with daily living of the Aged
- Ethics
- Caregiver self-care and behavioral expectations of an Aged caregiver
- Common health challenges in the elderly
- First aid in emergency situations
- Nutrition
- Social rehabilitative and recreational activities for the aged

- Family caregivers who are caring for elderly relatives
- Auxiliary health workers who wish to improve their competency in caring for the elderly.
COURSE PROFILE
- BSc/HND degree holder
- Applicant must be 18 years and above.
WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB ‘O’ level in Art, Commercial or Science subjects - Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively

- Aged Care Aide Program only – N250,000
- Aged Care Aide Program + American Caregiver Association certification – N485,000 (subject to exchange rate).
Payment Schedule:
• Enrolment –100,000
• Second month – N70,000
• Third month – N50,000
• Before final exams – N30,000

- The online entrance examination takes place on the third Saturday in January, March, May and August every year. Note that we run the Aged Care Aide program twice in a year – March and September.
